Greetings! We are currently planning to standardize our Desktop computer purchases by offering a suggested brand or a list of computer specifications and we are currently moving towards supporting Linux. I have a question in regards to Linux support given by branded computers (HP, Acer, Dell, Lenovo, etc).
1.) Does your organization uses branded computers or assembled IBM clones? Is it more advantageous to buy branded computers (for an small/medium organization) than an assembled IBM compatible PC? Any experience would be welcomed. 2.) Which particular brand offers the best Linux Support? (Assembled or Branded) 3.) Which particular computer brand/s do you wish to suggest / avoid? Any short experiences with a particular brand (especially on Linux) would be welcomed.
