Hi Sir Tito and Sir Zak:

Hi, thanks for the pointers. I'm Alec Joseph Rivera, an R&D Developer
(sometimes masquerading as a Web developer too) here at 8LayerTech.

We also want to add these as soon as possible to KahelOS, however
balance on usability/stability and new features is hard at best. Our
senior developer, Joel Bryan Juliano, is still having the after effects
of birth pains, joys and all :-) We'll be implementing this in a R&D
branch. We are currently in the process of implementing the forums and
repositories. We would love to have input and help from senior
developers such as yourselves on these topics :-)

Currently, we use GCC with -O3 and target i686 as the LCD for our
compilation.

Right now, we want to focus on Gnome first and would welcome adding new
GUIs once the KahelOS community is already mature and stable. Growing up
the distro would be easier then... For those interested on other GUIs,
we recommend taking a look at
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch-based_Distros. A lot of fine
distros are listed there.

We are targeting right now to have a mature LAMP version of our server
edition. We are, however, also (inline with item 1) pushing for an
alternate server edition using alternative application stacks Filipinos
are interested in. Nginx will definitely be on my agenda.

Again, thank you for your interest on KahelOS. Sirs, we would love to
meet you guys in person and discuss the potential avenues for KahelOS'
steady growth. Our office (aka. HQ) is open anytime for you. You can
email us at developers<at>8layertech.com.

Uhmm, by the way, we can also meet during SFD Pampanga if it won't
hassle you :-)

Mabuhay po. Para ating lahat ng Pinoy ito :-)
