For Yahoo, there is yahoo2mbox.  But over time as a group member with 
email enabled you would have received all those messages anyway and 
simply keeping them would be as effective.

For Google their RSS service might be useful.  Again, though, if you 
have been a group member you've been receiving the messages.

I was able to redirect, using Thunderbird and the Mail Redirect add-on, 
all PLUG messages from the last two days to a Google group I just 
created: http://groups.google.com/group/plug-playground/topics.  Dates 
and authors were preserved.  I suppose the same could be done with a 
Yahoo group.
