   Clients and agencies provide .doc files of processed words. When I need to
collaborate with others on a document I send them copies in that format.
(And now the drafts will be totally unformatted so there are no conversion
hassles in either direction).

   My accountant likes the .pdf files I send her.

   Don't know the answer to this one. But, it seems that most of the
questions posted to the LyX, PostgreSQL, and SQLite mail lists (perhaps
others I've overlooked) are from those using Windows, not linux. It seems
these folks really like F/OSS but won't take the next logical leap out of
Windows.
