Do you know if the connector is a type M or N power plug? These are available 
at Radio Shack.

Also we have noticed that the internet shuts down after 5 minutes and want to 
know if it continues automatically if it finds the aux. power is available.  
Did you try to leave the normal battery connecected and wait for longer than 
the 5 minute period to see if things stayed up?  If not could you try that 
experiment.
