Your >idea about putting your own entry there is worth a try. I know a bit about fstab, but not enough to know how to write the line. I read man fstab, but it didn't help. >Android has a menu button along the bottom. When you are looking at >the desktop, this menu button will bring up a "Settings" button >which will lead you to the SD Card settings. There is a place in the >SD Card settings to determine what state the SD card is in and to >format it if needed. Several layers deep in the settings menu it shows "SD card and phone storage." Under "SD card" it lists "Total space," "Available space," "Mount SD card," and "Format SD card." All are grayed out. After removing and reinserting the SD card the top menu has a little squarish icon. Pulling down the top menu I see an entry "The SD card is safe to remove." This is immediately after reinserting it. I think the phone is not automounting it, or is mounting it and instantly umounting it. I wonder if the Froyo that came with the phone has been hacked by AT&T so it requires a microSD card sold by AT&T. Maybe that is a paranoid thought. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
