I can't get 32 bit Linux to boot a AMD Phenom II X6 1000T on a MSI 890GXM-G65. I have tried Ubuntu 10.10, 10.04, OpenSuse 11.3, Slackware 12.2, 13.37. OpenSuse 11.3 64 bit however, will boot.
I believe the motherboard is a fairly new revision as it has the AM3+ socket which is supposed to support the X8 bulldozer CPUs that are in the future. I am wondering if I can drop back to an older chipset such as the 880 and get 32 bit Linux to boot the X6? Anybody out there running Phenom II X6 with 32 bit Linux? If so, what motherboard? Thanks, Wayne _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list PLUG@lists.pdxlinux.org http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
