Dazzle runs on wine, though it is very clunky to use and you have to
type your password whenever it starts because of a wine-related(?) bug
in retrieving the password from "the registry". I keep it running by
itself in a VNC session and only speak to it via the "XML interface"
(which is attached with duct tape and activated via the "windows
command-line"). It prints to a postscript file (courtesy of CUPS) and
all of this is managed by the app and DB which have much more to do
than print postage.

Endicia also has an "enterprise server" "solution", which I'm guessing
is exactly the same as what you would find by sniffing the network
traffic off of the dazzle desktop software, but it took a week for
an "enterprise sales representative" to write back to me with no useful
information. I imagine that someone will have to violate the terms of
service to make and publish something which allows endicia's customers
to use Linux without so much hassle.
