This will not be touched by human hands. A program on a linux
machine will remotely start an AppleScript (?) on the Mac to
print a postage label, in whatever format the postage program
emits (worst case, a postscript to a printer) then suck the
image back in, crop and manipulate it if necessary, then
construct an envelope image (with address and return address)
and print it. Perhaps I can assemble the whole image on the
Mac and print it from there, but my experience with Macs is
that the programs want to do things /their/ way.

If this is a monthly mailing to some patients, the Linux
script may also add the postal bar coding, and print out
a heap of envelopes and accompanying letters, ZIP5 sorted.

As long as the application is scriptable in some manner,
and I can launch a script and move files over the office's
ethertubes, I can automate the whole process - except for
folding the paper and stuffing the envelopes, and I can
hire that out +/-HIPAA.

The big remaining problem is making sure the correct letter
goes in the correct envelope - I will probably add images
to specifically match envelope to letter, an example of the
sort of oddball thing I can't expect a closed source user
application to do.
