We deal with people like that in every circle, Mike. And it's no big deal at all to mark Robinson's posts as spam and let the email program deal with it. Unfortunately for those who get digests, they have to see his posts or change their habits, but the consequences of banning him or someone like him seem far greater than asking list members to just ignore him. Paying Robinson no attention whatever only hurts him and, for a very short time, newcomers to the list. If Usenet taught me anything, it was how to filter the undesirable chat.
