I already did that. Same error. It can't find screens using the nouveau driver 
or the vesa driver either. 

I should have mentioned, the video is nVdia Quadro NVS 140M. 

I found a suggestion on the net to add "nvidia.modeset=0 to the end of the boot 
line in Grub. Tried it, didn't make any difference. But I might not have put it 
in the right place because Grub is the new one and doesn't havea "boot" line, 
at least not opne that is recognizable.

I need to get the networking up so I can reinstall things.
