I recommend the KDE4 version of Linux Mint.  I've been using KDE Linux Mint
for about 4 years now, & it's very easy to use, just keeps working.  Adobe
Flash, & all of the codecs you need are ready to go without needing to
install them or tinker at all.  Also, Mint does offer some LTS releases.

There's a reason Mint has beat out Ubuntu & is at the very top of
Distrowatch's page hit rankings.
