Rogan, For a while rxvt or xterm from a login shell of root or postgres would wrap long lines, but no longer. Long lines wrapped from Red Hat-4.0 through -7.3 and Slackware-8.0 to my current -13.1. Something happened about the time I moved from rxvt to urxvt to gain display of UTF-8 characters. I've no idea what changed, but there must be a solution somewhere since wrapping was the default behavior for years. If (when?) I resolve this I'll post the solution here.
