I once installed the nVidia drivers on a Fedora computer and later uninstalled them. Afterward nouveau drivers would not work because the nVidia drivers had hopelessly garbled a bunch of links. After hours of googling I finally got the nouveau drivers back, but never did get the nice Fedora teardrop splash screen back.
