It seemed to be happening more and more frequently, so that made me
worry that it might really be hardware failing. So I burned Mint 14
Xfce and booted to it. I have been running it just from the live CD
without installing it for several days now, and no problems with X. If
it continues without problems for another week or so I'll go ahead and
install it. Then all I'll have to do is figure out how to get rid of
the Mint logo, which offends my artistic sensibilities.
