When I was setting up my current desktop, a Gateway with a 64 bit processor, I remember learning that the nVidia driver did not work with 64 bit, but would work with 32 bit. And so that is what I am running on this machine. This was back in March, 2013.
I'm running the 64 bit version of Mythbuntu on my Toshiba Satellite. No nVidia there.
