You're right - it doesn't make sense. Especially considering that I've had
the same IP address for at least 1.5 years on my Frontier FIOS service. I
realize DSL is not FIOS, however DHCP is DHCP... others have suggested that
this sounds screwy in the past, so I'd like to reiterate the suggestion at
this point.

Possibly a faulty DSL modem?
