wes, I totally agree. One of the aracnet admins was experiencing the same high frequency of change as I was; so have some others. Whether that frequency settled to near zero for others I don't know. Sometimes I go for days with the same IP address; sometimes it changes in frequent groups once or twice a day, then settles. Yesterday morning I had 9 changes over night, then one some time during the day. Today, only the one at 6:30 am. I'm sure that if I found someone at Frontier to discuss this he'd tell me it's all because I'm running linux. :-) Anyway, there's apparently nothing I can do about this. Oh, on the DSL modem issue: aracnet sold me a new one compatible with the new Frontier routers to replace my old one. And, since the old script worked up until this morning the problem is probably software and not hardware.
