I use a CPAP machine that stores daily data on an SD card. To view the data every day I have to schlep the card from the machine to the laptop, read the data, then try to remember to put the card back into the machine. I've lost count of how many times I have forgotten the last step. If the card is not in the machine when the machine is running the data for that time period is lost. The machine is really stupid about that. If I can just access the card by wifi I can copy the data to a folder on my hard drive every day. I could probably do this with a cron job, but I don't know much about cron, except that I looked at it once and it was overwhelmingly complex and powerful, so I'll leave that last step until I actually get a card where I can access the files fom Linux. It doesn't have to be the Toshiba Flashair; if someone is using another brand with Linux, I'm all ears. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
