Unless I missed it above would you be willing to explain the need / use of the VPN?
Example, access to local data remotely ? Or running certainly applications, email , etc. There are many solutions as simple as used firewall unit with VPN capability can give you SSL, IPSEC, or p2p tunnel no license required.
