Same here, I have not tried SW, I need to start playing with it but I run
Linux
on Thinkpads of all sizes and types. I have a X201 and a X301 both running
Ubuntu Mate with Compiz (love the cube) on the 201 I am running Win10
in a VM, by the way there is a cult of people that "whoop up" think pads
like
some people "whoop up" cars.

I have had driver issues, but you have that with M$ products all of the
time.
Indeed I have found that windows runs smoother in my VM on my X201 than
running it on the bare metal.

I am betting that Slack being Slack you can probably "whoop" that Thinkpad
up to where it really smokes.

By way I have a X200 that I need to replace the light tubes on, otherwise it
is a great machine too.

By way you can almost find the parts for Thinkpads in the nearest dumpster,
and the prices are not at all bad.
