Hi all!

Just thought I'd chime in because I've done this!

I highly recommend Lenovo Thinkpads. Older models like the T14 (2nd gen) and
X13 (2nd gen) have come down in price a lot! You can find these for like $300
or so on Ebay. That's how much my X13 cost.

Both are very well made and parts are easy to find. Lenovo also has full
disassembly videos online. I spilled coffee all over a second one I had and the
spill resistant keyboard kept the internals safe and was easy to replace with a
used unit. They also are fantastic linux machines and I've not had any problems
with hardware support. I run a custom kernel + luks encryption.

Since this is the enterprise model, it comes with some nice additions like a
sim card slot for lte connectivity (I have an extra pay as you go data line for
$8 which helps when I need network on the go - I don't use smartphones),
touchscreen, and the extended business warranty which I'm catching the end of.

Remember to re-paste the thermals!
Health and Peace,
Elaina Jones
