I have a 2017 era HP spectre x360 laptop running ubuntu 22.04 that has
just recently (within the last few weeks) started showing some video
artifacts. I took some pictures with my cell phone camera, linked

The artifacts survive reboot, but I seem to be able to recover by
draining the battery (booting into CMOS and unplugging and letting the
power drain until it shuts off). Here's my lscpi:
