glad to hear your problem's solved already. =) anyway, just for the record, the
"--with-oracle" compile option is only for oracle7.3 and below. you have to use the
oci8 parameter as onie said to be able to run against oracle 8 and above. i
remember reading this in one of the php documentation sets.
oci is the oracle call interface for the C programming language. it's a library
that lets one make sql calls against an oracle library from his/her C program. i
find it relatively hard to use as one has to make several function calls to be able
to run one sql statement.
