What I did is I compile the glibc 2.2 source and the Linux 2.4.0 source and update
my ld.so 1.9.9 (of course the basic updates of Linux 2.4.0 modutils, binutils,
etc.etc) and it works and running faster than before!!
I'm just curious with the memstat of Linux 2.4, I'm running Xwindows
(Gnome+Englightenment), if it is idle, gkrellm stat says my CPU usage is only
playing between 0% - 5%, but when it was Linux 2.2.16, it played between 10% - 20%
if it is idle (same number of processes with my current kernel).
