Regular version is like other distros: install onto a hard disk. The Go
version runs off a CD. This is very handy for users who want to boot into
Linux on a system which has no Linux installed. This is also handy
solution for people who want to develop programs in the "OS of their
choice." The Go version includes most of the GCC and other libraries. Its
practically a portable development CD. :)
