When it was first launched here in the Philippines I get a transfer rate
of 50-60 KB/sec on a 400 Kbps dish, I can barely get 20 KB/sec these
days. The 400 Kbps dish crashes on heavy loads when installed on a window$
NT box. Philcast won't replace it, you have to shell out another
Php 13,+++ for a new card. What we did was to install 2 200 Kbps on
seperate machines rotated it to balance the load. The 200 Kbps card chokes
on several occasions but it is better than a total crash. BTW you have to
restart the box when DirecPC chokes ( which I find very annoying). Try to
inquire about speedcast and interpacket they are also broadband
providers. Hope this helps.

Note: This guy manages like 7 DirecPC dishes all over the Philippines. you
can also try consulting him.
