I once got the card to run off of linux with the helius driver, but had
trouble with the key generation of AsiaCast (the one you get when you first
dial up to the Taiwan number they give you). Take note, however, that
PhilCast (actually it is Taiwan-based AsiaCast which is operating DPC,
PhilCast is only a reseller arm) is using KU-band dish which is susceptible
to heavy cloud covers. You might also want to consider the fact that they
are now implementing Hughes' Fair Access Policy (FAP) wherein, if they
consider your bandwidth usage to be "abusive" and/or "excessive", they'll
FAP your connection which constricts the pipe that goes to you, slowing you
down (you will never get the 400 Kbps they promised you).
A lot of people here in my province who used to connect via DPC discontinued
their subscription.
