kasi nag setup ako ng file server under linux tapos. ip nya is
(10.10.10.254)
may dalawa pa akong segment 10.10.20.0 at 10.10.30.0.
nag create ako ng dalawang virtual ip sa 20 and 30 series like
ifconfig eth0:1 10.10.20.254 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 10.10.20.255
ifconfig eth0:2 10.10.30.254 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 10.10.30.255
tapos
ping 10.10.20.254 - no response
ping 10.10.30.254 - no response
try pulling the network connection - same result.
now, tried to recover using "init1" then "ctrl d"
i read during reboot "eth0 in promisciuos mode".
ano kaya ang mali ko.....
