That's a bit of a misleading question. The trouble with VC++ is that it
hardly complies with the official X3J16 ANSI C++. To call VC++ a C++
compiler is misleading. VC++ will allow you to get away with a lot of
things a more strict ANSI compiler will slap you down with. Actually, C++
is such a big language that you can hardly blame M$, and quite possibly
the only fully standards-compliant C++ for Windows you can get is Borland
C++/Builder. I'm not sure what the state of C++ support is in GCC is, but
last I heard it is still somewhat deficient in terms of ANSI-compliance.
