hello men and women of the Philippine Linux Users Groups,

a while back there was a thread about programming. i even recall
some heated debates about kylix, gcc and what-not. unfortunately or
fortuntately, i am tasked to help design an systems programming course
here at the ateneo. we have already gone through a lot of material on
this and it would definitely be a Makefile/C/vi environment.

however, to add spice to students lives, we would like to include a GUI
programming part. this is also make students "see" their applications.
i have narrowed down some possible toolkits to use for this:

X/Motif
X/gtk
tcl/tk

i would like to ask for you opinions on this matter. thank you for you
time.
