Thanks for the insights.. I settled with storing the
binary data in the file system and just stored the
filename in a varchar column. As for using postgre, my
team doesnt really have a choice - it's the client's.
Though I'm more comfortable with oracle (and mysql for
smaller projects). Once again, thanks.
