Aha! At last someone mentions Cyrus. I moved from UW IMAP and mboxes to
Courier IMAP and Maildirs. So far so good. The Cyrus homepage touts its
proprietary MH-like format to be good for large mailboxes, though. I
wonder which of the two (Maildir or Cyrus-type) is indeed better for large
mailboxes.

Would anyone have thoughts or URLs of benchmarks comparing the two formats
and/or the two IMAP servers?
