i shy'd away from QT at the very beginning because the licensing is very
sticky. doc mana want me to do motif.
personally, i am beginning to like gtk... for a lot of reasons:
1. it has glade (wysiwyg tool)
2. it has a clean API... compare to the bloody MOTIF API
3. it is pretty stable...so far...
4. it has a C++ wrapper.
