I tried to make babelfish translate the lyrics for the classic German
new wave song "99 Luftballons" once, and it rendered the word
"duesenflieger" in the beginning of the second verse as "nozzle flier".
The word actually means Jet Fighter, as I could infer from the English
lyrics to the song (which is not really a translation...the meanings of
the two songs are actually quite different) and from a listing in a
German lexicon I found. Well, from the same German lexicon I fo
und that 'nozzle' and 'flier' is exactly what the two German root words
'duesen' and 'flieger' actually mean.
After that, I think that a wetware translator is still the best move :)
