so you think a database solution can be more scaleable?
about mysql and postgresql, i've read that mysql now
supports "berkeley db" and "innobase" tables that feature
transaction support and row-level locking. i wonder if that
"sucky concurrency" problem is addressed by these additions
to mysql 3.23...
and yes, postgres' c API looks fairly easy to program
8)...at least compared to oracle's oci8
