Not always!! on simple inserts and straight queries Pg is faster than
Oracle. But its update functionality is about 2 orders of magnitude
slower.. so for web-app stuff Pg is a better fit (not to mention MUCH MUCH
cheaper: using Oracle for web requires a UPU license: $15/MHz).
