Uhm.. yeah. We were taught this in grade school: readin' 'riting' and
'rithmetic =) 256M - 8M = 248M

Although seriously, you can set the amount of memory to use for video RAM
in the BIOS, so it's not ALWAYS 8MB, it can be as low as 2MB. These AGP
adapters with shared memory are such poor 3D accelerators (and not
supported by DRI anyway) that it makes no sense to give it 8MB, 2MB is
good enough for 1024x768x16 bit in 2D, which should be good enough for
most people.
