Some distros knows how to take care of this. If it's an RH distro, edit your
lilo.conf
and add append = "mem=256m". You must run lilo para mag take effect.
There are situations where kernel panics right after the boot.
If it happens, you must boot to single, then on the prompt, add lilo
append="mem=4m"
Then just restore back the old settings of your lilo.conf.
Other gurus, bakit nga ba nagpapanic?
