some people forget that if you put a passphrase during the ssh-keygen 
ssh will not ask for the password but will ask for the passphrase. you
can have a blank passphrase to work around this. 

...or...

you can run ssh-agent on the connecting node to type the passphrase just
once then the rest of the sessions will not ask for the passphrase na.
