It looks like your smb PDC is losing on the network browse master
election. I've had problems with samba, but it's the reverse. It takes
over as PDC, overriding the winNT domain controller.

have you set the OS level high enough, set security to domain and set
exncrypt password to yes?

It would help if you post your smb config file.
