Hey guys,
I did it. I finally succumbed to the changes of the time.. I bought a
cellular phone (I've never had one for ages)
Anyway, I'm just fishing for information as to how I can use the phone in
conjunction with my Linux box. I've got a Nokia 6190 (free with the
service). But the North American version of 6190 doesn't have an infrared
port. So I'm stuck with a serial connection between my Linux box, and
phone.
So, do you guys know of cool Linux tools I can use with GSM
phones? I'd appreciate any information. My urgent needs is a software
that would allow me to interface with my phone's SMS subsystem -- I've
found out right away that it's not quite fun composing text messages with
a dinky keypad.
stay cool.
