Pushing this discussion further, if ever a connection via serial port can
be made to a GSM phone, would it be possible to offer GSM-dialup services,
simply because it's cheaper to have a cel-cel connection rather than
landline-cell?  THe concept is you dialing up to your own linux server,
using a palm connected to a 7110/62xx via IR, to a GSM phone hooked up to
your linux server...

I'd say that for this to happen, the GSM modem built into the 7110/62xx
_must_ have AT Command set compatibility, so that standard linux programs
like mgetty or portslave can use them..
