I have 3 scripts running on my server, Java, PHP and Perl, Perl and PHP works but Java 
doesn't.

i don't seem to have a /var/log/postgresql file

my server is started automatically.  or sometimes i restart it thru 
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart
