first setup your ldap database
something like hrmm (searching archive in memory)
sample:
dn: cn=Dek Mauleon, o=arnzdekz, c=PH
Objectclass: top
Objectclass: person
cn: Dek Mauleon
sn: Mauleon
mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
then ldapadd it
ex. ldapadd -D "cn=root, o=arnzdekz, c=PH" -w pwetmo <
file.ldif
( oh read about this in www.openldap.org there are
things you need to setup first before you can add
things)
next configuring outlook express
click tools, then accounts select directory tab then
click add directory services wizard will popup follow
instruction hehehe after clicking finish
go to Directory Service
click what you added( the ldap server) then click
properties look if the details our correct then click
advance enter your search base (ex. o=arnzdekz, c=PH)
look at the port number too 389 is default ldap port
click ok
test the darn thing in outlook express click addresses
an address book window would appear click find people
type name or email address then click find :)
if things don't work?
1. acl (visit www.openldap.org and read about acls in
the admin section)
