Au contraire...UUCP has just been renamed -- I just can't remember the name
though, something about open systems....PASOC? Philippine Association for Open
Computing? ...something like that...

On July 26, 2001 the Philippine Association for Open Computing (formerly
Unix Users Club of the Phils.) will be marking it's 15 Year of existence.
In this light, the newly elected officers for the year 2001-2002 would be
honored if you can grace us with your presence this coming Thursday, July 26,
2001, 7:00 PM at the JV del Rosario Room, AIM Conference Center, Benavides
cor. Trasierra Sts., Makati City.
We will be doing our monthly meeting and at the same time holding our
Induction. The New Presidential Consultant for Information Technology and
Executive Director of the Information Technology and eCommerce Council (ITECC)
Mr. Ver L. Pena will be no less then our guest of honor and inducting officer.
Lastly, the new officers will also be unveiling the 'new' thrusts and
direction for the Organization which promises to be bring more excitement and
benefits to all its members. Hence our theme:UUCP/Open Computing@ 15
Responding to ICT Challenges.
