hi there,
after the favorable consensus we had at the linux10 plug meeting,
we're starting efforts to register PLUG as an official org.
once registered, we can start talking about PLUG membership dues,
but the PLUG officers will have to decide on this.
the reason why PLUG did not enforce membership dues was because it was not a
legal entity which prevented it from officially accepting funds from both its
members and from contributions from corporate sponsors.
