Uhh ... I seriously doubt this. Like what Orly very often says and writes,
it's cheaper to get more RAM then to spend for good programmer time to
optimize an entire suite of applications and libraries like GNOME. It's
for such situations where upgrading (or bloat) is not an option that such
things as fvwm, xfce, or blackbox come in useful. :)
