With netfilter in 2.4, ICQ seems to work fine with being NATted, despite
using one IP only (as is the case in the network). However, the
netfilter dev team don't support the icq compatibility module as much,
recommending that socks be used instead because, as they say, of the
"ugly ICQ protocol."
