Yes, to clarify the whole thing, I've installed Redhat 7.1, and installed the minimum
package as much as possible and
partion my disk.
I have a 6 GB Maxtor ide hdd
hda1 -- 3000MB - reserve
hda2 -- 800MB - /
hda3 -- 2000MB - reserve
hda4 -- 200MB - swap
I've compiled kernel-2.4.10-pre8 and patched the kernel with xfs, installed the
xfs-tools, acl, dmapi etc... etc...
After booting my newly Linux-2.4.10-pre-xfs kernel, I'ved created xfs partion on hda1
becoming /usr and hda3 becoming
/ partition, and I moved the necessary files to its proper directory and modified my
/etc/fstab and reboot. Now I
totally migrated to xfs but I want to make my former / pertion ( /dev/hda2 ) to be
xfs, it is not anymore being used
but if i execute a command
#mkfs -t xfs -f /dev/hda2
mkfs.xfs: contains a mounted filesystem
but its no longer mounted =(
What could be the problem???
